About Me

Hello and welcome. My name is Shelayah Robinson, I’m a cum laude Computer Science graduate with a concentration in Software Engineering from Southern New Hampshire University. One of my proudest academic achievements is being able to achieve Dean’s List 2 years in a row! I have recently completed my 120 hour TEFL/TESOL Master Certification, which means I’m qualified to help teach others English.
My five years of tutoring experience has helped shape hope I best assist my students in their learning. I like to make the student feel engaged when it comes to learning topics, and I believe that’s the most important tip. I enjoy getting to know my students, as well as providing useful techniques that will help prepare my students for whatever their academic goals may be.

As an ESL Certified Conversational English Tutor, I like to first assess my students. This looks like having a regular conversation, and afterwards providing tips for areas my students may need to work, such as correct pronunciation, intonation, and more.
I then tailor my lessons with exercises to help build my students skills, and have light homework of suggestions on things they should work on.
